Depart Arusha early and drive to Tarangire National Park, famous for its massive elephant herds and iconic baobab trees. Conduct a full-day game drive along the Tarangire River. Overnight at a campsite or basic lodge near the park.
After a morning game drive in Tarangire, head north through the Ngorongoro highlands toward the Northern Serengeti. This sector is where the great herds cross the Mara River. Enjoy game viewing en route to your camp.
Spend a full day in the northern sector tracking the great wildebeest migration. We focus on the river banks where dramatic crossings often occur. You'll also see large prides of lions and solitary leopards that follow the herds.
An early start for the Ngorongoro Crater. Descend 600m into the caldera for a morning of game drives. Look for the rare black rhino and the dense predator population. Return to Arusha in the late afternoon for drop-off.
